CS chemistry is particularly suited to standardized crowd-management protocols and operational contexts where predictable, well-characterized chemical effects are required.

With an effective range of up to 6 meters (20 ft), MK-9 CS neutralizes threats at extended distance through a fog dispersion pattern that covers a large engagement area. The pistol-grip handle with safety pin delivers stable two-handed control during prolonged deployment, while the 260 ml capacity supports sustained operations without canister change. The actuator is equipped with a first-use indicator, allowing immediate verification of canister status — essential for duty readiness and post-deployment reporting.
